A Little Less Formal For Those Of You Who Care To Know

Lora Wegener. Lora was born the daughter of a preacher man in July of 1987 in Watertown, South Dakota. As a child, she loved to paint, draw, and color in or outside of the lines but her favorite activity was making banners and cards for holidays. It wasn’t until her yearbook class in high school paired with the art appreciation class she took in her first year at Scott Community College that she realized just how much creating art meant to her. Since that time, she has explored and cherished every art-related opportunity presented to her. While at SCC, she took many art courses including: Painting I & II, Drawing I, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Digital Photography. Lora displayed her work from these classes in student art shows held in the library, where she also worked. She was also asked to display a painting at the Figge Art Museum in the College Invitational exhibit. After earning her associates degree at SCC, Lora still hungered to know more about the art world! She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program at St. Ambrose University pursuing a degree in graphic design and art history.
